How I Met My Pawrents

When I First Met My Pawrents

I was born in a home with other Bengal kitties like myself. Once we were old enough, we would be visited by hoomans. One by one, my siblings were taken to their new homes. It was just me and my brother left when my future pawrents came to visit. There was another litter of kitties in the room with us as well. They were all playing together.

When I saw them, I knew I had to adopt them. Instead of playing with my sibling and litter mates, I had something else up my spotty sleeves. I would sneak around my future Mummy and pull at her clothes. I would also hide under the sofa and pounce at my future daddy. They soon diverted their attention to cute little ole me. My plan has worked, hehehe!!!

The Car Ride Home

My trick worked because I remember getting into the car with Mummy first. I wanted to crawl and look around, but she wouldn't let me. Daddy got into the car, and I wanted to sit on his lap. I got to sit there briefly before he handed me back to Mummy. I was a bit scared when the car started and was shaking in Mummy's lap. I remember snuggling right up against her.

We stopped by a pet shop to get some supplies for me. I got to go in and sat in Mummy's arms. I saw a dog there and stared him down. I think he was afraid of me because he started whimpering.

"Good! Fear me, you pathetic pup." I thought to myself.

My Mummy laughed and took me away from him. It was time to head back to the car and see my new furever home. I could not wait to see it!

My Furever Home

I was asleep on Mummy's lap the whole ride home. When I woke up, we were home. I remember being carried into the bedroom, where I would spend a few days there.

My pawrents let me out to explore a couple of times, but I was still very cautious. I would walk out for a bit and run back into the room. When I'm in the room, I would be very playful and nothing was off limits to me. My pawrents learned really fast what to cat proof. I even knocked over the humidifier and water went everywhere! It was scary!

After a week, I decided that I was ready to explore my whole kingdom. I opened the door by myself and wandered out. My pawrents were surprised and were wondering how I got out. They asked each other if someone forgot to close the door properly.

"I got out by myself," I meowed.

I've been watching them open the door and learned how to. I don't think they realize how smart I really am. I guess they're in for a surprise with all the things I'll be doing around the house!
