Paws and Highways: Nezuko's Purrspective on the Ultimate Road Trip

Now that I'm safe and sound back in my own habitat, I wanted to share my ultimate road trip adventure. We went on a so-called "annual family trip" down to the US of A. Now most cats are afraid of cars, but I quite enjoy it from time to time. Ever heard of Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today? It's this anime my pawrents are watching and I would like to say that I am masterful! I enjoy watching cars go zoom zoom and the views are meowtastic. We went past these really big rocks covered in trees. My pawrents call it the Rockies, but I call it Nekoyama. It just sounds more tantalizing, doesn't it? The backseats were filled with all my favourite blankets. If I got a bit woozy, I would just go sleep in the cave they set up for purrfect old me.

Just look how relaxed I was! Please ignore all my hair on the seat... how embarassing.

As the captain of this ship, I enjoy crawling up to the front and sitting on the console to keep a lookout. Sometimes I like to crawl on daddy but mummy gets mad at me and says not to distract him while he's driving. Again, what does she know? Fine, I guess I'll just go sit on her and shed all over her pants!! Once in a while, we stop so Daddy can charge the car (whatever the hell that means) and I get to learn how to drive. This isn't so hard. I don't know why hoomans have so much trouble with it. This is why cats are the superior race. It's so superior that there's even a nose print of mine right on this wheel here. Can you believe there's a whole company dedicated to just my nose print?!

Driving is easy right? I should be marketing for this cat nose company.

So this was my first time getting to cross this thing called the US pawder (border) from the land of maple syrup. This was my longest trip yet. My pawrents gave me lots of treats and love for not throwing up in the car - which they had better!! We got to the pawder and the agents working there gave me such compliments. As they should... I am as majestic as they come! Mummy was slightly worried that there would be issues with me.... turns out she was the problem (ke ke ke ke). I mean look at me, why would anyone have a problem with me?

We got past the pawder crossing and went on a scenic route. We got to this park where Daddy stopped to let me enjoy the views. I remember seeing a big puddle of water in the distance and that's a big nope from me. I don't know why hoomans like this thing called the ocean. I will never understand. This is why my life expectancy will be much higher. I'm glad I was safe in the car and behind many trees.

Oh god, why is that puddle so big?! BTW we're high up so you can't see from this photo 🤭

Well, we finally did make it to Seattle and I will be back with how my stay went at the AirBnB. And don't forget the trip back as well!
