Purrfect Havens: Cat-friendly Accommodations Part I
Staying at different places can be stressful for cute fuzzy babies like me. But I am masterful and it does not phase me. Pheromones? Who needs that? I am brave and mighty. I will guard my pawrents from any dangers that walk through that hotel door!!! During the day, there are periods when I can roam freely in this new habitat. I'm always a good baby though and never alert nearby hoomans of my existence. I also kill the urge to knock anything off the counter (unless I'm at home, I'll always do it at home because I can ke ke ke ke). I hunt for the purrfect spot so I can sleep most of the day away but I'm always listening to when my pawrents get back from their hunt.
Places I've stayed at sequentially:
Holiday Inn in Edmonton, AB
Pet-friendly AirBnB in Surrey, BC
Pet-friendly AirBnB in Seattle, WA (my fave!! 🤩)
A scary motel in Golden, BC 😱
Would you like me to describe what staying at each habitat was like? Yes? No? I'll tell you anyway! Now gather around little hoomans for I have stories.
I'll start with my very first stay at this habitat called Holiday Inn, in a place called Deadmonton (or you can call it Edmonton). My pawrents wanted to see how well I would do on a long road trip, and I proved to them that I could do very well. I'm a mighty baby after all. We went to an anime convention there. Well, my pawrents did... too many hoomans there for my liking. P.s. I left you all a link in case any of you beautiful felines have hoomans who want to take you there. They allow us majestic creatures to grace their halls. They also give us privacy so there are no strange hoomans with brooms who come bursting through the door chasing us.
Anyway, I stayed back to guard this new habitat while they went out. I sniffed out the place. I think there were dogs here... ew!!! 🤢 I just stayed away from those spots but the bed seemed nice! I hung out in the washroom sometimes, as they have big counters for me to sit on! There was a floor lamp that I was tempted to swing from, but I promised I would be a good baby this time. Plus if I broke it, that meant fewer toys for me. For those who wonder about my well-being while my hoomans are away (not that they are gone long - I think they have separation anxiety), I always have plenty of food and water left out for me so I can eat and sleep while I wait.
And guess what?! They came back with some catnip toys for me to play with!! 😸 We only stayed for a couple of nights but it was a fun little adventure and my very first big trip.
Stay tuned for details on my other stays and what I think of them! From fun stays to haunted stays, I got it all!
